Tyler's Extracurricular Activities

Robotics

Overview - I joined the Robotics FTC team at Battlefield High School during my senior year of high school. Although my role did not allow me to work directly with the robot, I still gained valuable experience.

My Role - I was the Outreach/Notebook Support role. I helped organize events with communities, and manage the notebooks required for presentations.

Skills Gained - Robotics has helped me improve my communication skills. I also learned more about the importance of working together and how robotics work.

Volunteering

I volunteered in my freshman year of high school. In my IT Web Tech class, some of the students were behind while other students were really ahead. To combat this, the teacher held Zoom meetings on Mondays when we didn't have class(We did not have any classes on Mondays during the virtual school year) to allow peer tutors that were ahead, such as myself, to help those who were falling behind. This allowed the behind students to catch up. I earned a total of 11 volunteer hours by participating in this tutoring.
